Welcome! Komal is a  Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) committed to providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic space for individuals seeking support and healing. With a background in clinical social work and a passion for mental health, her mission is to empower and guide her clients toward emotional well-being and personal growth.


Komal has a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. Komal has several years of clinical experience, including individual and group therapy. Komal has worked in inpatient hospital settings, as well as outpatient settings. She has worked with individuals and families exhibiting a range of mental health concerns such as co-occurring mental health disorders, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD and self-harm.

Therapeutic Approach:

Komal’s approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and strength-based. She believes that every individual has the innate capacity for growth and resilience, and she works to empower her  clients to harness their strengths and overcome challenges. She incorporates evidence-based techniques, tailored to each client’s unique needs, to facilitate meaningful change and foster a sense of well-being.

While incorporating aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, meditation, and solution focused techniques, Komal works to meet the individual’s needs. Her approach with clients is to be with them with a positive attitude, warmness, and empathy, in a non-judgmental manner. Everyone is unique and therapy will be different for each person. Komal has a special interest in working with young adults who are facing many life transitions and coping with their mental health. She strives to create a safe, affirming, and inclusive environment for clients of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities.Her goal is to help clients be the best version of themselves and help them find the strength to empower their lives.

Personal Philosophy:

Komal firmly believes that mental health is an essential component of overall well-being. Her goal is to help clients be the best version of themselves and help them find the strength to empower their lives. She is dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and reducing the stigma associated with seeking help.

Komal moved to the states when she was 10 years old and has experienced many changes in her life from moving to a whole new country to learning a new language, and navigating on how to assimilate two cultures while still maintaining her roots.  In her free time, Komal enjoys reading, shopping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
