About me

Khawaja Saad Haye (call him Saad) is a Trauma & PTSD Specialist.  He acquired specialty certifications in clinical trauma.
He has helped clients who experienced trauma from childhood, sexual assaults, war, and racial trauma. His approach is strengths based, skills based and solution focused. Saad helps his client’s understand their visceral reactions and will support them in the moment to attend to themselves in an effective manner. It is not uncommon for Saad to point out physical shifts in session to help the client be more aware of how their mind-body are interconnected. Saad is also attentive to opportunities in session where he can help client’s understand themselves emotionally.

Theoretically Saad draws from humanistic, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy and experiential therapy. His therapeutic style is direct and light. He is relationship oriented and likes to use humor (when appropriate), to connect with his clients and facilitate relaxation and comfort in the therapy space.
Saad also wants his clients to feel challenged. People who work with him can expect to feel confident overtime.

Saad works with clients in California, Pennsylvania and Delaware. He see’s clients by video, or in person in San Francisco on Tuesdays between the hours of 1pm and 5pm.

Saad is bilingual. He is Pakistani-American. He grew up in Pakistan, attended college in London, lived in Philadelphia for 11 years then moved to San Francisco in 2022. He is passionate about history and loves to watch documentaries. Saad is a father to a rambunctious toddler. When he is not working he enjoys time with his family, a good kettlebell workout, and of recent, playing a team sport (soccer).
