About me

You may be looking for counselling for many reasons, perhaps you are going through some current challenges or are trying to make sense of past experiences. I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist who aims to offer a welcoming, compassionate, confidential space and we work together at your pace.

My approach is psychodynamic meaning we look at the present/past and explore unconscious processes. Please don’t feel frightened or put off by this – it is simply describing a way of thinking about ourselves. Moreover, our relationship forms the most important part of the counselling process.

Together we explore patterns of relationships, behaviours or feelings which seem to present challenges. You may be seeking to make changes in your life and we can figure out how these may take shape.

I work with a range of concerns such as general anxiety, loss, low moods, family relationships, abuse including domestic violence, stress and self-esteem to name a few. I  have a particular interest in working with identity and culture alongside generational traumas and their impact.

As our relationship is key, the first introductory chat is offered at a reduced rate so that we can explore whether us working together feels right.

I work as a counsellor for two charities and have my own private practice which offers face to face and video sessions for UK based clients only. Please note due to Covid-19,  I am currently only offering online sessions based from my secure and confidential counselling room. Both short term and long term counselling are available, depending upon your needs.
