About me

The most common thing I hear from my South Asian clients is that they worked with other therapists and no matter how much they explained, the therapist couldn’t understand because they didn’t share the same culture. They also tell me that they are looking for a therapist who is: more involved in sessions than just listening, has flexible availability that works with their schedule and gets to work right away on the issues that matter most. A typical session with me involves us analyzing your issues and solutions you have tried, understanding the patterns that exist across situations and figuring out which strategies you would like to try moving forward.

A majority of my clients are South Asian individuals, couples, and families in their 20s and 30s who want to speak with someone who not just understands but specializes in helping people of the same culture. My clients are typically successful in many parts of their life but struggle to use those same skills to help them manage their issues, relationships and emotions. I have over a decade of experience as a therapist working with difficulties you might encounter in your daily life including: anxiety, depression, divorce, breakups, racing thoughts, restlessness, lack of motivation, and setting boundaries in important life relationships. I help you identify your needs, confront difficult emotions and offer you real life solutions you can use right away.

I offer sessions days/times that are flexible around your schedule, have years of training as a therapist and professor of Clinical Psychology and always prioritize being relatable/supportive while you explore how to make  improvements. I emphasize the importance of building self awareness of your values, open communication and using vulnerability to build true confidence.

I have been an adjunct Faculty Member at Pepperdine University for almost 10 years. I have taught several clinical psychology and counseling courses. In addition to my work in clinical psychology, I have also worked in consulting, business administration, and sales in industrials, tech, healthcare, aerospace, and automotive.
