I strongly believe that my clients have the power and inner strength to bring about positive change in their own lives. I am here to encourage and empower them throughout the sessions together. I do my best to foster a safe and open space where that change can occur.
I have worked with a diverse population on issues related to anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse, trauma, family & relational issues etc which has allowed me to understand the importance of creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. Being a huge advocate of social change. I take into consideration my clients’ social contexts and how that has an impact on their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. I greatly appreciate individual differences, strengths and unique stories of my clients.
I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy while drawing primarily from Adlerian, emotion-focused, and CBT approaches. This means I help clients understand how their past experiences have shaped their present, while working towards changing how they think, feel, and behave. I also integrate Mindfulness and Self- Compassion practices in my work.
