About me

My name is Insiya, and I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. My aim is to provide clients a safe, open and non-judgemental space to explore the issues that have brought them to therapy.

There may be a number of reasons for seeking counselling and sometimes the reasons might not be completely clear. That is ok, we will work together to better understand what is going on. We all experience difficulties from time to time, if you are feeling like it’s difficult to cope, counselling can help. Deciding to start can be difficult and it is vital to me that you feel comfortable and respected in your Individual journey.

I use a combination of Person-Centred therapy, Attachment theory and Cognitive-behavioural therapy in an integrative approach to provide sessions that match your personal goals and needs. These modalities form the theoretical underpinnings of my work and ensure a strong foundation.

I believe that therapy can increase self-awareness as well facilitate an environment for growth and change. It also may be a place for you to process life experiences and events, including the past and present. We may explore aspects of your identity and sense of self as well as delve into your relationships with others depending on what is appropriate for you. I work from a culturally diverse lens and am committed to offering a service to individuals from all backgrounds, in a supportive and inclusive way. Above all, my underlying ethos is these sessions are yours and I will always facilitate ensuring your therapeutic needs and goals are at the forefront. It is important to me that clients feel that the therapy is suited to who they are, and that is reflected in my work acknowledging  your lived experiences.

Session Information:

  •  I offer both short-term and long-term counselling
  •  I see clients face-to-face at my therapy room in Leicester’s city centre as well as online.
  •  I initially offer a free 20-minute phone call to explore your needs and to see if we are a good fit to work together.
  • When booked in, your first session or assessment is a detailed opportunity to discuss in-depth what brings you to counselling, your personal history and what your individual therapeutic goals are. We would also at this point discuss in a more bespoke manner what your therapy/counselling sessions may look like, including exploring how long we might work together.
