About me

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here!

My name is Hira (she/her), and I am a resident therapist taking clients in Virginia.

Are you trying to find a counselor that understands your unique experiences? Are you worried about connecting and opening up to someone who may not understand you, your family, or your background?

These are fears many South Asians (and yes, even myself) have when finding a therapist. That is why I have utilized my own experiences as an immigrant and member of the South Asian diaspora to shape my counseling approach. I believe that every client is unique and deserves a creative, caring, and holistic counseling approach. I am especially passionate about providing culturally sensitive mental health care to marginalized communities.

In my practice, I offer a safe and compassionate space for exploration and growth, where clients can reconnect with their inner selves and cultivate a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is rooted in the belief that each person possesses an inherent capacity for healing and resilience, and it is my privilege to accompany them on their path towards greater well-being.

My goal as a therapist is to empower clients to tap into their inner wisdom, cultivate self-compassion, and cultivate a sense of wholeness and integration. My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centered, with elements of internal family systems and mindfulness therapy. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply seeking greater self-awareness and fulfillment, I am here to support you on your journey towards healing and transformation.
