Hi, I’m Harjindar, my pronouns are she/her/hers. I’m a relational psychotherapist with anti-oppression and trauma informed practices. I specialize in working with young adults ages 16-25, first generation folks and people working in social justice, helping and healing professions. I support individuals and couples in relieving symptoms of depression, anxiety, race based stress, grief, trauma and vicarious trauma.
I believe a warm and supportive connection between a client and therapist can be a powerful catalyst for healing. I view people as their whole selves, holding the connection between the mind, body and spirit. In sessions this means we’ll bring awareness to your emotions, thoughts, body sensations and movements. Without judgment we bring curiosity to these components and allow this information to move you towards increased well-being.
As a social worker with over 20 years of experience I have a deep commitment towards social justice. In my clinical perspectives I strive to undo anti-blackness, white supremacy, patriarchy, heteronormativity, capitalism and systems of oppression. I am committed to the healing and growth of people of color, and white allies, in hopes of advancing racial and economic justice for our collective liberation.
I invite you to visit my website to learn more about me, how I practice and how I can support you in experiencing more joy and fulfillment in your life.
(Please note that I do not accept insurance, however, I can provide you with a superbill for reimbursement.)
