I specialize in working with adult children of immigrants, young adults ages 18-25, and people working in social justice, helping and healing professions. My practice centers South Asian Americans and welcomes folks from the diaspora including those who identify as Indo-Fijian and Indo-Caribbean.
I’m a relational psychotherapist with anti-oppression, social justice and trauma informed practices. My style is warm, open, gentle and consent driven. I blend somatic (body based) practices and mindfulness skills with talk therapy. In sessions we’ll explore life experiences that have shaped your relationship to yourself and others. I guide you in identifying body sensations, emotions and thoughts to understand how previous stressors are experienced in your body and to identify resources to move towards the change you desire.
As a social worker with over 20 years of experience I have a deep commitment towards social justice. In my clinical perspectives I strive to undo anti-blackness, white supremacy, patriarchy, heteronormativity and capitalism.
I invite you to visit my website to learn more about me, how I practice and how I can support you in experiencing more joy and fulfillment in your life.
