About me

Hi! I’m Hananah and I’m glad you’re here! I’m a trauma-informed therapist who works with adults who want more than symptom relief. I also work with couples who are seeking greater honesty, understanding and connection in their relationships. Couples looking to do this work before getting married are especially welcome.

My clients have learned to be responsible early: high-achieving, deeply attuned to others, and carrying the weight of family expectations, guilt, or unspoken obligation. For them, often love, loyalty, sacrifice, and duty are deeply intertwined. Many come from immigrant, first gen, second gen, transnational, Third Culture or bicultural backgrounds and may be navigating intergenerational patterns, emotional inheritance, difficult family dynamics, boundaries that feel loaded with guilt, or the tension of living between cultures and identities.

I work especially well with those trying to understand relationship patterns, family of origin wounds, and the question of how to remain connected to family without losing themselves. This often includes exploring identity across culture, religion, gender, sexuality, and belonging, along with life transitions, grief, anxiety, and depression. Therapy can be a space to make sense of what you have carried for too long and to create change that feels honest and lasting

If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you, and am happy to offer a fifteen minute phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit. I offer telehealth services. If you are based outside NC and interested in working together, please be in touch.
