About me

Hi, my name is Gurleen and I am a clinical counsellor based out of British Columbia, Canada and I provide online and in-person counselling to individuals, couples, and families. I provide in-person counselling in Langley, British Columbia and online counselling for those throughout B.C. For those who are not able to meet in-person, or are not comfortable due to COVID-19, you can attend sessions from the comfort of your home or any private setting and can schedule appointments at a time that is most convenient for you.

I work through a Response-Based framework, which is supported by ideas from Narrative Therapy, Family Systems, Feminist Theory, and Critical Race Theory. The foundation of my practice is social justice and intersectionality as I have been working with victims of violence for over 10 years in areas such as sexual exploitation, the criminal justice system, homicide and addictions. Being a culturally competent therapist working with the South Asian population has been a dream of mine, as there are so many intricacies and details that come with being brown!

I speak English as well as Punjabi. I am also available to provide diversity and cultural competency training to organizations, schools, and corporations. I can be reached at 778-765-3171 ext 209 or by email at gurleen@gurleensangha.ca. You can check out my website and some of my work at www.gurleensangha.ca
