About me

You’ve spent years trying to keep everything together, managing work, school, family, and expectations. On the outside, all may seem fine, but inside you are feeling anxious, restless, exhausted, scared, or even guilty. You may have already tried self-help books, podcasts, therapy, or even medication, but real and lasting relief still feels out of reach.

Hi, I’m Gilan, a South Asian therapist and practice owner of GK Preserve Group, LLC, based in Houston, offering virtual therapy across Texas. I specialize in supporting college students  and professionals navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, burnout, and relationship stress, especially when cultural pressures, family expectations, or perfectionism make life feel heavier than it should.

As a South Asian therapist, I understand the complexity of balancing cultural values with personal needs. In our sessions, you’ll have space to be fully yourself, no judgment, no pretending. Together, we’ll explore what’s been holding you back, heal old and new wounds, and build practical tools to feel calm, confident, and at peace with yourself.

I integrate evidence-based modalities – CBT, DBT, and EMDR, through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens. My approach is collaborative, practical, tailored, and grounded in understanding the unique challenges within our community, from generational differences to identity and belonging.

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you,  it’s about helping you reconnect with who you truly are.

If you want a therapist who is practical, real, and is committed to your growth, then feel free to connect with me for a free consultation.

Email me at gilan@gkpreservetherapy.com to start with a free 30-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
