I am a University of Pennsylvania trained, millennial, Indian-American, psychotherapist who utilizes emotion-focused methods to help you generate a stronger sense of self.
My main goals in therapy are to help you feel less alone with your emotions and to help you feel more understood in your experience as a South Asian person in the United States. As a child of immigrants myself, I can relate to the unique struggle of straddling two very different cultures and trying to fit in with both. Oftentimes, I will draw from my personal experience of navigating cultural and generational differences between myself and my more traditional family of origin to better support you.
I frequently work with smart, insightful, and motivated people who have achieved many of their life goals but still feel dissatisfied or anxious. If you are struggling with your sense of self-worth, intimacy, vulnerability, social interactions, family issues, tension in your romantic relationships, uncertainty in your life’s path, or making major life decisions, you have come to the right place. Together, we will help you build the capacity to tolerate difficult emotions and reconnect with who you are at your core. I am committed to helping you through your journey of self-exploration, healing, and inner alignment.
