About me

**Please note, that I am not accepting new clients as this time as I am full, but please do reach out if you are interested in being added to my waitlist. I will let you know when a spot opens up.**

Welcome to my page! My name is Gaya Kodiyalam and I am a University of Pennsylvania trained licensed social worker and public health professional who utilizes emotion-focused therapeutic techniques to help you generate a stronger sense of self. My main goal in therapy is to create connectedness in the therapeutic relationship, so that we can safely navigate your emotional experiences together.

I frequently work with smart, insightful, and motivated people who have achieved many of their life goals but are still feeling dissatisfied or anxious. As an Indian American, I am passionate about working with South Asian teens, young adults, and adults. I offer individual therapy and specialize in anxiety and depression, body image, relationship/family issues, low self-esteem, academic or career challenges, life transitions, and intergenerational cultural dynamics.

I also offer couples therapy and specialize in working with South Asian and interracial couples who might be experiencing issues around emotional or physical intimacy, issues around conflicting parenting styles, and/or issues around cultural differences between themselves or between their families of origin.

If you are interested in scheduling a complementary phone consultation with me, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you!
