About me

Hello, I’m Dr. Sajid Baig, a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience helping adults navigate a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, trauma-related disorders, and co-occurring substance use concerns. My approach is grounded in thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care, combining comprehensive evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning to help each person achieve meaningful improvement in their quality of life.

Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse clinical settings, including outpatient psychiatry, inpatient psychiatric units, crisis stabilization programs, correctional mental health, and addiction treatment centers. I have served as Medical Director for multiple behavioral health programs and have cared for individuals with both acute and chronic psychiatric needs. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of complex mental health conditions and the practical challenges people face in their daily lives.

I completed my psychiatry residency at Howard University Hospital, where I served as Chief Resident, and earned my medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. In addition to clinical practice, I have participated in research involving psychopharmacology, metabolic monitoring in antipsychotic treatment, and treatment engagement in psychiatric care, and I have presented at national medical conferences.

I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and actively participating in treatment decisions. Whether you are seeking help for a longstanding condition or facing new challenges, I am committed to helping you achieve greater emotional well-being, stability, and fulfillment.
