So much of who we are and how we understand ourselves and interact with the world is influenced by our parents, culture, and religion. Our South Asian heritage and culture continue to impact us well into our adult lives as we navigate an American society. You may be considering a psychologist who looks a little like you and understands the specific rules and expectations of the culture. You deserve a therapist to whom you don’t have to constantly explain your culture and will work with you to improve the quality of your life.
My clinical psychology doctoral training and numerous years of delivering psychotherapy have provided me with extensive experience helping adults with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance abuse, trauma, identity exploration, adjustment and life transition issues, and other life situations.
Therapy is a collaborative approach, where I am warm, empathic, curious, and nonjudgmental and can help you create and live a life you find fulfilling. My integrative approach is well-suited for addressing interpersonal and multicultural issues. I work from a social justice-oriented and trauma-informed lens to provide you with culturally competent treatment.
The only insurance accepted is Aetna. For anyone else, the practice is out-of-network and your credit card will be billed the full amount of $225 during each appointment. I will provide you with a superbill that you can file for reimbursement. Talk to your insurance representative about your specific policy.
