About me

Seeking therapeutic support when it is needed is not a breaking of trust or boundaries. It is a sign that you are willing to put yourself first.

Born and raised in the UK I can appreciate some of the issues experienced by many of the South Asian clients I have seen such as bullying, racism (direct and institutional), multiple roles and the conflict between thinking about yourself versus the collective family. I am also familiar with the experiences of alcoholism, abuse and denial which unfortunately are experienced by many in our community.

I have worked in mental health since 2001 and have developed a special desire to help people who have experienced trauma. Trauma can be something which was life threatening or highly distressing. It can be something which happened during a specific incident or incidents or it can be something which has built up slowly over time.

Whatever the issue, I am here to support you as much as possible. I am also here to help you navigate your way as a South Asian through whatever complex system you may find yourself in.

I understand the importance of therapeutic rapport so I am happy for you to reach out for a brief chat, free of charge to see if I am the best fit for you. Simply email, call or send me a text so that we can arrange a time to chat.

I look forward to hearing from you.
