About me

I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist with a background working with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings, including the NHS, private sector and non-profit organisations. I have worked with a variety of presenting difficulties including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, OCD, panic, emotion and relational difficulties, personality disorders, trauma and PTSD. I hold a particular specialism in eating disorders, difficulties with body image and body dysmorphia disorder, including pre-operative psychological assessments for cosmetic or bariatric surgery.

My passion lies in helping people make sense of their themselves and their lives, whilst recognising their ability to grow and achieve one’s potential. Creating a healthy self and life is an ongoing process shaped by a person’s life experience.  Central to my approach is the therapeutic relationship based on respect and equality, prioritising empowered choices on your journey of healing and growth.  I focus on creating a safe, non-judgemental space to explore thoughts and feelings, and being there to offer attentiveness, empathy, respect, whilst offering evidence-based interventions tailored to your unique needs. I recognise the importance of the social and relational context in which one exists within, and over the years, I have had the privilege of helping people from diverse backgrounds in achieving their personal and emotional wellbeing goals.
