It is not easy to ask for help, especially within our community where we are taught that thinking of ourselves is being selfish. I understand it takes an enormous about of courage to take this step, and break free from the guilt, shame and the stigma of accessing help for your mental health.
I offer a confidential and safe space for you to explore your feelings and unburden yourself from the weight of which you might be carrying. I understand what it is like growing up with the challenges of being part of the South Asian community. Whilst it brings about a great sense of belonging and togetherness, there can be elements of control, criticism, expectation, shame, guilt, and a general sense of not feeling good enough. On a wider scale, you may also be up against racism in the form of micro aggressions or bullying. Problems might include family relationships, marital problems or the navigation of your personal identity and values. Whatever the problems are I offer a free consultation, so that we can discuss your issues and together take the best steps forward.
