About me

My focus is on providing high quality person-centred evidence-based therapy and assessment in a manner that is compassionate and healing.

I’m a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and a scholar. I have over a decade of experience working in psychology in the NHS, private practice, academia, and the international NGO sector.

I am from Zambia and have also grown up in Europe and South Asia. I bring this lived experience of multiculturalism and familiarity with change to my therapeutic practice.

Clinically, I have trained and worked at several specialist London NHS clinics, including the Maudsley Hospital Trauma, Anxiety & Depression Clinic, The Traumatic Stress Service at South West London & St George’s NHS, and Lambeth Neurodevelopmental Service at South London & Maudsley NHS.

I undertook my PhD at the renowned Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London, where I researched the intergenerational transmission of trauma and depression. As an academic, I have held research and teaching positions at UCL and King’s College London, and have co-founded Trauma Psychology Training, an childhood trauma consultancy.

I have written several publications and book chapters which explore the impact of our early life experiences on our adulthood wellbeing, and have collaborated with professors at the Univeristy of Oxford to develop an iCBT app for teenagers with PTSD.

We will start by having an inital assessment consultation, which is a chance for you to share in depth what you are struggling with. We will then decide together whether a shorter term therapy that addresses a specific difficulty, or a longer term therapy that takes a more holistic and exploratory approach is most suitable for your needs and goals.
