About me

My focus is on providing high quality person-centred evidence-based therapy in a manner that is compassionate and healing.

I’m a chartered clinical psychologist and a scholar. I have over a decade of experience working in psychology in the NHS, private practice, academia, and the international NGO sector.

We will start by having an initial consultation assessment appointment, which is a chance for you to share with me in depth what you are struggling with. We will then decide together whether a shorter term therapy that addresses a specific difficulty, or a longer term therapy that takes a more holistic and exploratory approach is most suitable for your needs and goals.

I started my life in Zambia and have grown up in the UK, Zambia and Botswana. As an adult I’ve also spent some time living and working in South Asia and the Middle East. I bring this lived experience of multiculturalism and familiarity with change to my therapeutic practice.

In my clinical work, I have practiced at several specialist NHS and private London outpatient clinics, including the Maudsley Hospital, Psych Health and the Traumatic Stress Service.

As an academic, I have held research and teaching positions at UCL and King’s College London, and have co-founded Trauma Psychology Training, a therapy training consultancy.

I have written several publications and book chapters which explore the impact of adversity in our childhoods on our later life well-being.
