About me

Hello! I am a first generation South Asian immigrant. As an American Born Punjabi and Burmese psychologist; I speak English and understand Punjabi and Hindi.  I have my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago Illinois.

My full time job is as a Director of an Outpatient Branch in Indiana primarily working with the rural popluations. I decided that I wanted to give back and help my own community so here I am.  I know all too well how it feels to grow up in “two different worlds” and feeling like I didn’t belong in either (Indian or American). I  also understand how it feels to be a female in the south asian society. I recognize the pressures, stressors and competitiveness that our culture/religion brings and expects. As well as the guilt and shame one experiences to constantly please our families and others and always feel like “you are not enough” or “I have to be perfect.”

Mental health and addictions  is still such a stigma in our south asian culture and society and want to help those who want to work through their needs especially empowering women.

I have a background in working mainly with adults and young people in both the mental health and addictions fields. My focus is on individualized care by utilizing strengths based on where you are in your life. I believe in a holistic approach that integrates both self care and awareness, as well as empowerment.

I want you to be truly happy and content in you life and move forward by making yourself a priority because you truly deserve it!  Therapy is a challenging but worthwhile experience and my goal is to assist you through any challenges and come out with a new prespective. Therapy is a collobrative effort and I believe if you truly want to change you will put the work in to do so. I am kind, considerate and compassionate but also direct in my approach.

I hope to connect with you soon!
