Creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered is my priority. Being raised in a large, audible, high-achieving, close-knit South Asian family while straddling the cultural expectations that accompany, I enjoy working with children of immigrants who are adjusting to major life transitions including professional, familial, and relational difficulties and navigating their own acculturation process.
I am a clinician who has worked for a decade in a variety of mental health, academic, and clinical research settings in the United Kingdom, Canada, and United states. I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic models and offer thoughtfully tailored sessions for children, adults, and families who face a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, career stress and burnout, maternal mental health, and ethnic bicultural identity formation.
At this juncture in my professional career, I have also gained further specialty in treating women during their reproductive years, including the psychological trauma, anxiety, and depression that comes with infertility, pregnancy, motherhood, and miscarriage. By creating a safe environment through humility and humor, where my patients feel understood and free from judgement, I am able to help my patients strengthen their own inner resources.
I appreciate that the fit is critical in finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and can trust. Therefore, I encourage you to reach out for a free telephone consultation prior to making an initial appointment. I am happy to discuss any questions you may have.
