About me

As a psychotherapist, I appreciate the profound changes that can come from doing psychodynamic, depth work. Such work can stem from our relationships with ourselves and others. I have received specialized training in areas of psychoanalytic psychotherapy, addiction, eating disorders, trauma, and couples therapy. This training and expertise allows me to better assist clients with a variety of clinical presentations – multiple issues that coexist and often overlap.

I believe in the importance of helping clients stay curious and understanding about their internal and external worlds. In my experience, this process leads to major shifts in relationships, work, and lifestyle. My approach is grounded in kindness, openness, and acceptance. Therapy will facilitate identity development, increase in confidence, and overall ability to thrive rather than to simply survive.

With an increased level of awareness, you can change the way you think, behave, and relate to others, as well as how you relate to yourself. I aim to help you to delve deep into what pains you and what challenges you most so that you can come to understand yourself and know how you can best move forward with life’s major decisions.

I focus on treating illnesses using depth work that can help you see how your past informs your present to make healthier choices. This work includes shedding light on the unconscious (that which we are not aware of, yet, it motivates us to behave in certain ways) so that you understand why you do what you do and then begin to live a life that you truly love.
