About me

Hello and welcome to my profile.

Let’s be honest, life can be tough, challenging and demanding at times and we could all use someone to share our stories with and explore our thoughts, feelings and ideas with.

I offer clients a safe, confidential and freeing space, where your needs can be supported in a  non-judgemental, secure and honest environment. Through this, it can allow growth and development at a pace you choose. This can enable genuine change to occur in your life. I believe that by having a healthy relationship between myself and my clients is vital, hence why within the therapeutic relationship I provide empathic understanding, trust and offer authenticity in sessions with clients.

I am a person-centred therapist, who uses a range of different approaches when working with clients – depending on what your needs may be. Approaches that I work with include: the person-centred approach, gestalt therapy, narrative therapy, psychodynamic approach, emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused approach and mindfulness practice.

I have a BA Hons in Humanistic Counselling, from the University of Nottingham. Alongside my degree I have attended several training courses that have included work with domestic violence, anxiety, depression, goal setting, stress and trauma. Alongside private practice, I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, within a range of different organisations such as in schools, on a domestic violence project etc.

There are many  reasons as to why you may choose to have counselling – maybe you feel stuck or anxious? Or there may be a specific aspect in your life that may need exploring such as bereavement that has taken place, a form of abuse you want to process, or you may be feeling a form of sadness, worry or anger that you want to understand and explore deeper – to build on your self-awareness. You may have a goal that you would like to work towards.. or is there an alienated feeling/thought that keeps you feeling a certain way, that you would like to understand and discover?

Whatever your reason may be to seek therapy, please do not hesitate to email, text or call me with any questions you may have. I offer a free 15-minute consultation where you can ask me any questions you may have.

I look forward to hearing from you!
