About me

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS* I am licensed in throughout the US (TX, FL and all Psypact states)!  Are you South Asian/South Asian American and want someone to understand your values, religion, relationships? I am here and will provide evidence based treatment integrating your beliefs and worldview. I also specialize in issues impacting different multigenerational South Asian American individuals and families. I was past Chair of DoSAA (Division on South Asian Americans) for the Asian American Psychological Association and most of my clinical work and research focuses on BIPOC communities, including South Asian Americans. I am also an editor of the first South Asian American book on psychology and clinical work. My expertise is tied with my passion to serve and uplift South Asians and South Asian Americans. I can help you  navigate individual and intergenerational family issues related to culture and acculturation but also mood disorders (ie: anxiety and depression), loss, medical issues, adjustment, trauma, and intersectional identity issues. I can also help with stress related to the pandemic, the impacts of racism, and difficulties adjusting to life transitions. My priority is to help you achieve YOUR goals in a way that resonates with you who are, your culture, and values. I have 15 years of clinical and assessment experience and will provide evidence-based treatment in a supportive, accepting, and collaborative relationship.

I have experience working from many different therapeutic orientations and provide individual, couples, and family therapy. I have specialization working with populations that have depression, anxiety, relational issues, adjustment disorders, grief, medical issues, personality disorders, self-concept problems, racial identity, and multicultural issues.
Often people feel disempowered, scared, or have stigma to get support but it takes strength and self-love to reach out. I am here to provide the encouragement, challenges, and skills that you need to make changes and reach your life goals. Let’s take this journey together towards your better life. I offer a FREE 15 minute phone consultation.
