About me

My clinical style has been described as gentle and direct, and while I have confidence in my knowledge about therapy, I treat every client as an individual and learn from every person who works with me. My clients would say they trust my intuition, pay close attention, tell them the truth and empower them with ongoing effective strategies for healing.

About 12 years ago, I began my career working at Bellevue Hospital’s Outpatient Psych Department in NYC and later worked at a domestic violence shelter, supporting individuals navigating trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I then began my private practice work, and have specialized in Grief, Anxiety, Disordered Eating and Body Dysmorphia. Grief work is at the center of my practice. I’m especially interested in the many ways grief shows up in our lives; not just through loss, but in transitions, relationships, and the parts of our stories that are hard to hold alone.

I am currently taking new clients. I strive to meet my clients where they are before shifting to a place of empowerment and motivation. I find that clients appreciate my showing of humanity in the development of the therapeutic relationship. Therapy is allowed to be funny and creative; sometimes, I make use of art, reading, and music to enhance the emotional processing experience.
