About me

For as long as I can remember, I wanted a career that helped others. My culture and family of origin shaped so much of what I learned about life, and I enjoyed studying and reading everything I could about human relationships, self-worth, and Psychology.  I understand some of the complexities of being a first generation Canadian, of feeling caught between two cultures. Though I may not fully understand your story, I can bring a cultural lens to our work and better understand your unique story with all the nuance of your family relationships and connections.

I love the work that I do. I’m privileged to sit with my clients in their pain and successes, hardships and joys. I love learning about what makes you thrive, and helping you reach your potential- what you truly want to see come to life. Whether it be for yourself or for your marriage, I will work with you to set goals for treatment, and I’ll help you get to where you want to be. I see huge growth and changes when clients stay invested in therapy outside of our sessions, so I’m happy to send handouts, readings, podcast suggestions, or book suggestions to help your continued growth.

I believe you are your own best expert, and I’ll tailor my approach to meet your needs and goals. I work from a variety of approaches, including Satir Family Systems, Gottman Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused therapy.

Logistics: I support individual adults and couples in a private practice in the heart of Beaumont, just a short drive away from South Edmonton. I am currently accepting new adult clients for individual and couples therapy.

Credentials and Training: I began my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Ottawa, and continued on to complete my Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University. I am a registered Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (#10004092) and a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (#3022p). I’ve also pursued additional couples therapy training in Gottman Levels 1 and 2, to help better serve couples working towards a healthier and more fulfilling relationship.  I have the privilege of working with couples of diverse backgrounds, age ranges, and experiencing a wide array of struggles. We can work together on rebuilding your marriage, learning new skills, and healing from past hurts. I am also a Certified Prepare-Enrich Canada Facilitator, and enjoy working with couples preparing for marriage.
