About me

What I do:

I work with people from various backgrounds in my current role as a remote telehealth psychologist and I am familiar with the mental health demands and needs within the Indian, Indian diaspora and South Asian populations through my current work, my past internships and several volunteering stints.

My counselling methods draw from a mixed methods approach that best fit the client’s needs and subsequently I am able to deliver appropriate interventions to promote mental wellbeing.

As a minority person myself from South Asia, I ensure that I remain well versed with issues faced by minority members of the South Asian community.

Overall I want to push for mental health to become a legitimate health priority in the lives of people and for them to use this access to mental healthcare without any inhibitions. My belief is that maintaining mental wellbeing or seeking treatment to promote it should be as normal as taking flu medication for a flu.
