About me

My name is Bernadet Yaghobian and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I like to use an integrative approach focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Trauma/PTSD, Codependency, Addiction, Anger Management, Narcissistic Abuse, Grief, LGBTQ+, Life Transitions, Divorce, Stress, Racial Identity, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem, Women’s issues, and Spirituality.

I’ve discovered that my style and approach are well-suited for adults who may be facing life challenges and overcoming generational trauma, healing unresolved wounds, and relearning how to live authentically. This can show up as anxiety, depression, stress, codependency, anger management, and learning about the relationship patterns they have encountered throughout their life, including narcissistic abuse.

I am a refugee from Assyrian, Armenian, and Iranian descent. I left Iran in search of better opportunities and have traveled to various countries where I have met people from diverse backgrounds. Listening to their stories has inspired me to develop a passion for connecting with people on a deeper level. As a result, I have developed a desire to help people in their mental health healing process. I have always been passionate about assisting people find happiness in their relationships, both with themselves and others. It brings me great joy to support individuals through their struggles and help them become more resilient.

When working with clients on goal setting, my approach includes working together to determine the desired outcomes for our sessions. This process typically begins with establishing trust and becoming familiar with the therapy experience. As we continue to work together, we will develop goals and monitor your progress toward achieving them.

During our first session together, we will focus on discussing how you’ve been feeling recently. I will ask you questions to gain a better understanding of what may have caused these feelings. This initial session is about building a connection between us and figuring out the best direction for us to take moving forward. I believe that everyone is unique, and I like to listen first before assuming I know what will work best for you moving forward.
