About me

Hello, I’m Ayesha — a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, offering in-person therapy in East London (Bethnal Green), and online therapy across the UK.

I work primarily with people from the Global Majority, navigating grief, childhood trauma, relational wounds, and the psychological weight of growing up between cultures. My practice is grounded in the understanding that our inner lives are shaped not just by personal history but by the cultural inheritances, community expectations, and systemic experiences we carry — often without language for them.

My approach is depth-oriented, relational, and integrative, drawing primarily on psychodynamic theory with additional training in trauma and grief work. I work at the intersection of the personal and the cultural — attending to unconscious patterns, intergenerational wounds, and the stories we have inherited as well as the ones we have lived.

I trained at the University of East London and also hold an MA from the Royal College of Art. My background in arts and culture informs how I think about identity, meaning-making, and what it costs to carry things alone.

I offer both short-term and longer-term work, depending on what feels most useful for you. Sessions are £80 and I hold a small number of reduced-rate places for those who cannot afford the full fee. I offer a free 15-minute consultation by phone or video call before we begin, so we can explore together whether working with me feels like the right fit.

I offer a space that is culturally aware and attuned — where the cultural context you carry is already part of the room we share.
