About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing individual, family, and couples therapy.  I initially earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New England Institute of Technology, and then served in the US Army on Active Duty for eight years, deploying to both Iraq and Afghanistan.  After leaving Active Duty, I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Quinnipiac University.  I am a 17-year Army veteran and continue to serve in the US Army Reserve.  I have had experience in outpatient and residential settings, working primarily with adults and veterans in group and individual therapy.  I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help people struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, and trauma.  Additionally, I am trained in Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy to assist clients struggling with PTSD and other trauma-related disorders.

Despite our many differences, we all face challenges and setbacks that can put the brakes on life, and share common goals of moving forward and being better today than yesterday.  Whether you are a corporate professional; working two jobs to keep the lights on; or a couple married for 20+ years, I believe that everyone has their own unique set of problems that require a collaborative approach to therapy where we work together to determine how to best meet your needs.  I conveniently offer both in-person and virtual sessions in a private, safe, and professional environment where you can express your struggles freely and openly.  Our journey together will begin with a biopsychosocial assessment to learn more about you and your background so that I can better understand your situation and how to help.  We will then determine how frequent our sessions will be and how to best continue the journey.

I am in-network with several common insurance plans listed below.  Please contact your insurance provider to determine any up-front costs, such as co-pays.  My fee for self-pay clients is $100 for a 60-minute individual or family session.  Any payment can be made with cash, check, card, or FSA/HSA account (if in-network).
