About me

My name is Ashwini Addala and I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a special interest in childhood trauma and generational trauma, especially that of immigrant families. Along with my extensive experience working with people of all ages on topics anywhere from confusion of identity and depression and anxiety, to feeling “stuck”, life transitions and inner child/wounded Self related issues, I also take a lot of lessons from my own journey of successfully healing my own traumas, lack of worth, phobias, anxiety, postpartum depression, cultural conflicts, internalized racism, body dysmorphia and so much more, in order to aid clients in their own deep personal healing and growth.

I help people live more joyful, authentic and fulfilling lives by helping them heal childhood trauma and replace unhelpful coping mechanisms with upgraded ones.

I help guide people toward their ultimate health via a holistic approach, addressing mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health, along with inner child work and meditative/mindfulness techniques. I am a certified MotoKi energy worker and I’m certified in Reiki to incorporate Universal energy into the session. This approach combines healing techniques with traditional therapy to create more impact with my clients.

I love connecting people on a deep level and creating communities based on trust, love, and healing via events such as retreats, meditation circles and Forest Walks. My nerdiest hobby is doing jigsaw puzzles and I love being in the forest and amongst my plant brothers and sisters, dancing, creating art, meditating, and stargazing. I consider myself a deeply spiritual person and I am a free spirit. 🙂
