About me

Therapy for South Asian Professionals in California, Illinois, & New York

You may look capable and put-together on the outside. Inside, your mind rarely stops. Many of the South Asian professionals I work with are carrying anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout that nobody around them can see, because they’ve gotten very good at hiding it.

The pressure to succeed, stay composed, and meet everyone else’s expectations leaves little room for your own. Over time that shows up as overthinking you can’t turn off, guilt when you rest, people-pleasing that’s exhausted you, or a quiet sense that something is wrong even when everything looks fine. It isn’t wrong. But it is worth taking seriously.

As a first-generation South Asian therapist, I understand the specific weight of intergenerational pressure, cultural loyalty, and the particular flavor of self-criticism that comes with being driven and never quite feeling like enough. You don’t have to explain the context here. I already get it.

My Approach

My work is mindfulness-based, insight-oriented, and body-aware. I draw from nervous system regulation, IFS, and evidence-based therapy, not to fix you, but to help you understand the patterns keeping you stuck and build a different relationship with yourself.

Sessions are direct, grounded, and paced with care. Clients often describe the work as feeling both challenging and like finally being able to exhale.

Insurance & Out-of-Network Coverage

If you have an insurance plan through Cigna, Anthem, Aetna, United, or BCBS, an out-of-network exception may allow your insurance to cover a meaningful portion of sessions, and I handle the billing when that’s approved. I also provide monthly superbills for plans where an exception isn’t available. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. We can explore what applies to your plan during the free consultation.
