About me

I am a psychologist based in Washington DC metro area (DMV) who is passionate about empowering other South Asians to live as their most authentic selves. My clinical experience has primarily involved working with adults from ethnically diverse backgrounds, and I have had specialized training in several trauma-focused treatments for PTSD. With my private clients, I typically use an integrative approach rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness.

I am especially committed to providing culturally responsive care for historically marginalized populations. I have had experience in developing programs to address issues resulting from systemic oppression, such as racial trauma, and I strive to help my clients explore how various aspects of social and cultural identity can impact our view of ourselves and our interactions with the world. It would be an honor to bear witness to how these cultural dynamics may play out in your life, while helping you to process past experiences, make sense of them in a way that works for you, and take steps to live your life more fully and freely!
