About me

I am so glad you have decided to reach out. You are one step closer to beginning your journey towards change. With 28 years of work as a  Psychotherapist, I have gained incredible insight and strategies and would be happy to guide your way.  My practice has focused primarily on assisting individuals dealing with a range of issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Trauma,  Developmental Trauma (Adults who have experienced Childhood Abuse and or Neglect), Relationship and family conflict, Grief and Stress. Over the course of my career working with South Asian clients I have found that in order to be effective in providing therapy, alongside clinical skill, it is vital to have an understanding the intricacies of the culture.  Therefore, my approach has always been to provide the therapy through a cultural lens.

I work from an inclusive, culturally sensitive, client-centred, strength based trauma -informed approach. As an integrative therapist I incorporate many modalities to create a tailored approach that best meets your needs. Some of the modalities I use include; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness based practices, Narrative, Therapy , Positive Psychology and Emotional Focused Therapy.

Taking the first steps can be difficult but I have watched many clients transform in a short time. Small changes that occur through processing past issues, gaining different perspectives, adding new coping tools and strengthening skills can create life-altering shifts. I would be happy to walk you through the process.

Contact me for a free initial consultation.  It would be wonderful to connect and share more about how I can offer my support and guidance.
