About me

Living in this world can be stressful and challenging and we can often find ourselves feeling stuck in difficult emotions. I provide a space to explore and develop a shared understanding of emotional problems and to work towards overcoming these problems, respecting individual history, culture and difference as we move through this journey. My aim is to help people to work towards change in order to live authentic, meaningful lives in line with personal values in a compassionate, non-judgemental manner. I work with individuals using a flexible approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as third wave approaches such as ACT and CFT.

CBT can help people to build an awareness of thoughts and behaviours which may be affecting how we feel and to develop adaptive thinking and behaviours which help us to feel better emotionally. EMDR can help reprocess traumatic past memories which have become stuck and are causing us distress.

Starting therapy can take courage and I would like to make that start as easy as possible. Get in touch if you would like to explore whether my approach might be a suitable match for what you would like to get out of therapy.
