About me

As a Counselling Psychologist, I am committed to the well-being of all my clients and go above and beyond to cater to their needs. I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. Since 2018, I have worked with a variety of clients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives.

I primarily apply concepts of the person-centered approach to therapy. Here, emphasis on the healthy side of being human and on joy, creativity, and self-fulfillment are part of the person-centered philosophy. Hence, individuals are empowered, and they are able to use this power for personal and social transformation.

In my practice so far, I have worked with clients who experienced various kinds of concerns ranging from negative patterns in relationships at home and work, feelings of unhappiness, psychological pain or confusion, navigating through stress and anxiety, to traumatic experiences and crisis situations. Troubles with relationships, disruptive habits and thinking patterns also find space in my therapeutic practice.

Cultural influences play a significant role in shaping our lives. Language, race and familial values form important aspects of one’s identity. These experiences are unique to us and form the basis of what makes us different from people from different cultural communities. Naturally, the comfort of sharing our experiences with those who identify with similar labels as ours is unmatched. There is an instant reliability without having to translate or explain our repository of experiences.

South-Asian communities are known to have deep rooted values that define how we relate to ourselves and those around us. Living away from one’s country of origin can bring immense cultural shock along with absence of spaces for free expression. As a South Asian psychologist, I urge you to take that one step towards building this safe space with me. I have always strived to create avenues for the resolution of such issues with the help of my counselling practice.
