About me

If you are navigating immigration, infertility, pregnancy, or the transition into parenthood, you may feel overwhelmed, isolated, or uncertain about where you belong as these experiences reshape your identity, relationships, and sense of self. Many clients I work with are balancing cultural expectations with personal identity, processing reproductive transitions, or finding stability while feeling pulled between two worlds.

I specialize in supporting immigrants, women, and parents who often carry significant responsibility for others while quietly struggling with self-worth, emotional overwhelm, and identity shifts. Therapy with me offers a space to slow down, make sense of these experiences, and feel supported without needing to explain your background or justify your emotions.

As a first-generation woman of Guyanese descent raised in a bicultural environment influenced by Venezuela, I bring lived experience of acculturation, migration, and navigating multiple cultural identities. I also draw from my own personal experience with infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum transitions, which deepens my understanding of the emotional complexity these experiences can bring.

My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed, integrating insight-oriented work with practical tools to support emotional regulation, coping, and daily functioning. I offer sessions in English and Spanish, tailoring treatment to your cultural values, identity, and goals.
