Personal Approach
Amna truly recognizes the complexity of human life experiences that shape perceptions, beliefs, and unmet needs. Amna works collaboratively to utilize every individual’s personal strengths as a catalyst to develop insight and cultivate lifestyle changes to alleviate distress. Rooted in Person-Centered and Relational approaches, Amna believes establishing a trusting, occasionally humorous, and validating therapeutic alliance fosters deeper levels of empowerment, personal growth, and self-acceptance.

Professional Background
Amna’s primary clinical focus has been treating children and adults from diverse backgrounds with anxiety and panic disorders, mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem issues, relational distress, adjustment, and multicultural issues. Amna draws upon principles of CBT, Narrative and Trauma Therapy, Inner Child Work, Attachment theory, Psychodynamic Theory, and Mindfulness-Based Practices and has experience with individual and group work in South Asia and the U.S.A.
