About me

At times life can be challenging and we can get to a point where we may feel a bit stuck and need to make sense of things. I seek to create a safe, culturally sensitive and non-judgmental space for you to feel heard and understood. I’m here to support you to achieve the changes that you desire for yourself by helping you to process your feelings, gain greater clarity and to build more self-awareness.

I am a qualified counsellor and have experience working in a number of organisations and charities providing psychotherapy and counselling in areas such as Bereavement, Domestic Abuse, Emotional Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Stress and Anxiety, Depression, Divorce, Relationship issues, Trauma, Cultural Diversity, Neurodiversity, Gender Diversity and Racial Identity.

Being a British-born Asian female I can understand some of the challenges that people from different cultural backgrounds may experience in their daily lives and relationships.  I am a culturally sensitive therapist which means I respect differences in cultural attitudes and like to have a good understanding of my client’s background and beliefs related to race, gender, ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation.  Having a more in-depth understanding of my client’s intersectional identity enables me to work with them more effectively and can also help them to feel more understood.
