About me

I offer culturally responsive therapy for South Asian and Muslim women navigating emotional overwhelm, family expectations, and the pressure of being the one others rely on.

Who I Work With

I work with South Asian women who are used to being the responsible one, the one others rely on but feel overwhelmed and alone underneath it all.

You may be thoughtful, self-aware, and capable on the outside, but internally, you’re carrying expectations, pressure, and emotional weight that others may not fully see.

Many of my clients are the peacekeeper, the steady one, the person others turn to. Over time, that role can become exhausting  shaped by guilt, self-blame, and long-standing patterns you never had space to question.

Being capable may have earned you respect, but it can also leave you feeling alone.

What Brings Clients In

Clients often come in feeling stuck in:

• anxiety, overthinking, and constant self-criticism
• people-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
• resentment or emotional disconnection in close relationships
• pressure to stay composed and “handle it” at all times

What Therapy With Me Is Like

This is not surface-level talk therapy or quick-fix work.

We slow things down and look beneath patterns like over-responsibility, self-silencing, guilt, and perfectionism so you can begin to understand why you’ve been carrying so much for so long.

From there, the work becomes about creating space for something different: feeling more grounded, clearer in your decisions, and less burdened by everything you’ve been holding on your own.
