I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois and pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision program at Adler University. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and family dynamics, particularly among individuals navigating cultural and intergenerational stressors.
As a South Asian therapist, I am passionate about supporting South Asian and first-generation individuals as they navigate the complexities of identity, family expectations, relationships, and mental health. I understand that cultural values, generational differences, and the pressure to balance multiple worlds can create unique challenges that are often difficult to discuss with others.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by expectations, struggling to set boundaries while maintaining relationships, managing emotional distress, questioning their sense of identity, or trying to honor both their personal needs and family values. Together, we explore these challenges with curiosity, compassion, and cultural understanding.
My trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and person-centered theories. I hope to create a collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, supported, and appropriately challenged as you process difficult experiences, build insight, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and aligned with your values.
