Hi there! I am Aakanksha Kanojia, a Psychotherapist, Counselling Psychologist and Queer Affirmative Practitioner with more than 8 years of work experience.
I specialize in providing support to children with behavioural, social-emotional concerns. I have extensive work experience to cater for the needs of teenagers, young adults and older individuals with mental health conditions like depression, anxiety or relationship breakdown, work-related stress, managing difficult emotions i.e. anger or dealing with low self-esteem or identity crisis keeping in mind their past experiences, cultural diversity and behavioural patterns using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Queer Affirmative Therapy, Art based Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness as therapeutic tools.
During the sessions, you will be encouraged to share your feelings and emotions without judgment or criticism. You will have a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes aiding in making your decisions with more clarity and awareness. My approach will be eclectic, non-directive, non-diagnostic, insight-oriented, informal and empathetic throughout your journey of self-discovery.
