About me

Salaam and Hi. Based in North and Central London, I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapist specialising in working with children and young people between the ages of 4-18 years, integrating play and creativity as another form of communication to explore feeling states that might be difficult to express in words.

I also provide individual therapy for adults, with an interest in working with women from South Asian backgrounds. My cross-cultural heritage has further encouraged providing access and awareness of mental health for BAME communities.

I have published in the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Children, Young People and Families magazine.

Mode of Practice

My approach to therapy is based on my level 7 postgraduate diploma training with a highly acclaimed and leading provider of mental health provision. Training with an integrative counselling model has allowed me to draw on the strengths of various counselling approaches and neuroscience, which is useful when working with children and young people. An integrative approach allows me to respond to clients’ personal, social or emotional needs as they change and grow.

Due to my training, I am ideally qualified to provide child and young people counselling as well as adult therapy.

Faith and Cultural Sensitive Service

In the past, I have provided counselling for a non-profit organisation which has developed my interest in working with young women from BAME backgrounds. Employing a faith and cultural sensitive approach as well as respecting difference is central to my work.

Initial Consultation

Thinking about counselling whilst experiencing distress can sometimes be a confusing and daunting process. Contact me to book your free, 15 minute consultation giving you an opportunity to ask any questions.

Alternatively I can arrange an initial 50 minute telephone/ video consultation which allows us to explore your reasons for seeking therapy, any questions you may have as well as to ensure that if you decide to go ahead with therapy, you feel comfortable to work with me.
